While I was Gone

Miss Marion, Dawn Treader

Miss Marion”s hull work was finished and primed, ready for paint. She was taken out for a while until the boat flipper is available so we can finish the decks and interior. In the meantime, work on the Dawn Treader was begun. As it urns out, the decks need to be replaced. The plywood subdeck was delaminated and in poor conditions in a few places. The fir decking was checked here and there, but I liked the weathered lookand would’ve liked to keep it, but the damage below negated that idea.

Duke “Bijou’

Bijou’s lenthy restoration is coming to an end. We just have to turn her over, fit out the interior, and do some varnishing.
