About Us
The Wolfe Island Boatshop began was founded in 1995 by Michael Corrigan, a graduate of The Northwest School of Woodenboat Building. The first shop was a humble 600 square foot garage that today serves as the humble wood shop. In 2000 a new shop was built into what was formerly the horse stable side of a large dairy barn. Not quite as humble as the first shop, the new facility allows for a bright, comfortable and spacious workspace year round. The main barn was also renovated to have a three-season workspace for boats up to fifty feet in length. A fourth season is possible, but not recommended unless properly attired.
Many different boats have passed through the doors and into the lake. From prams, dingys, kayaks and canoes, to large sail and power cruisers; unique home built treasures to beautiful mahogany classics. We are passionate about our craft, and strive to give each project the care and attention it deserves.
